About me & my work

Hi there! I'm Elise Leise, an American writer and editorial strategist specializing in emerging technology. Over the past decade, I've worked in digital media, journalism, and branded content, plus edtech and executive education projects for Cambridge, Imperial College London, MIT, and the University of Oxford. I’ve always loved the combination of interesting people, neat ideas about the future, and digital technology, and I’m lucky my job lets me combine all three.

I grew up in a small town in rural Minnesota (Red Wing, MN), but when I was eighteen, I decided to move across the world to Senegal with as a fellow with Global Citizen Year, where I taught English to a class of eighth graders and ran the local English Club. Since then, I’ve lived on five continents (and counting!), worked with global technology, education, and fintech companies, and written about everything from financial inclusion to data and disinformation.

I typically work on an hourly or project basis for companies or startups working in education, technology, consulting, or financial services, but I’m also open to advising pro bono on projects if they’re related to AI literacy or women’s leadership.
